Design Solar Plant For House and offices by itself (Understanding Purpose, not Practical)

KISSAN  SOLAR EDUCATION

CALCULATE RATING of Solar's Equipment : Are Your Looking for SOLAR DESIGN for your Home, Offices by Itself ?

Energy Flow Diagram in a Solar System for Home, Offices

To know Rating of Each equipment , you should calculate from Reverse Direction of Energy Flow Diagram.

Step 1 : Calculate Load Requirement : Number of load you want to run from Solar.

Important Calculation

1. Total wattage of Load  : (watt * quantity ) =  9*2 + 60*1 +150*1 . . . . . +250*1 =628 Watt
2. Total Energy Consumed By load : (wattage * number . of hour used) =  9*5*2 + 60*8*1 + .......+ 250*3*1 = 2820 Wh

Step 2 : Find out Size of Inverter ,

Important :
Output Energy of Load  = 2820 wh

We need to find out Rating of inverter and  Input of Inverter or output of Battery :
Every inverter has Efficiency mentioned by manufacturer : 90% to 95 %. Let take 93 %

Rating of Inverter = Total wattage at output need = 628 VA = 650 W inverter

Step 3 : Size of Battery :

To find Size of Battery, we need two Important Parameter of Battery
1. DoD ( Depth of Discharge)
2. Efficiency of Battery

Depth of Discharge : This indicates how much charge you can take from battery for reliable operation and life of battery. Ex if DoD is 70%, you can discharge 70 %  of battery, after 70%, it is recommendation to re charge quickly the battery .
Lead Acid battery has 50% DoD
Excide Battery has 80% DoD

You can also consider Autonomy i.e no. of days do you want to keep charge storage in battery.

For 2 days, total charge required,  total rating of battery need = 3 * 381 = 1143 Ah

Step 4 : Size of Charge controller and MPPT :

Here, Input energy of Battery is considered 4566 Wh, but according to problems it must 3653Wh.

Step 5 : To find out Rating of Panel , No. of Panel :

In Every area there is given peak hour of sunshine i.e. number of hours sunshine become maximum,
You can find this from google

if you are in Saket, Delhi =

Annual Average : 4.33 kWh/m2/day

If you are in Ranchi jharkhand

Annual Average : 5.15 kWh/m2/day

Here Size of Charge controller will 12 V, 82A

Assignment : How to Design a Solar Power System for home

KISSAN EDUCATION www.kissanedu.com Suppose, Living District = Una, Himachal  Inverter's Efficiency = 95% Battery's Efficiency = 85% Converter Efficiency = 92% Take Loom Solar Panel Inverter = Microtech consider only night backup for battery Solution: Total Day time consumption = 22800 Wh Total Night-Time Consumption = 17280 Wh Total Energy Consumption =  40080 Wh Since Size of Plant is very high, so we have to consider only the night backup plan for optimizing Step 1 : Size of Inverter = Total Wattage of Appliances = Wattage * quantity = 5440 watt = 6 KW inverter Step 2 : Size of Battery: Output Energy of Battery = Input energy of Inverter =(output of inverter) / (efficiency of the inverter)                                           = 17280 /0.95  = 18190 Wh                                      Energy Storage of Battery =  Output Energy of Battery / DoD of Battery                                            = 18190 / 0.80 = 22738 Wh Note Do

FOUR EXTRA Bills that you pay along your "ELECTRICITY BILLS" read it.

KISSAN EDUCATION ( www.Kissanedu.com ) Q. Are you Paying only electricity that you used? Ans : No, There are Five components that you pay along your Electricity uses: 1. Electricity Charges per Unit 2. Fixed Charges 3. F.A.C 4. Wheeling Charges 5. Electricity Duty ( Tax on Electricity) 1. Electricity Charges Per Unit : This Charges are main charges of electricity that you used,This charges varies State to State. Here Rate of charges considered 5.73 per unit. Hence , Total unit Consumed by Consumer is 319 Units Total Electricity Charges = 5.75 *319 =  Rs 1830.30 2. Fixed Charges : Such Charges are  fixed either you use electricity or not .This charges varies State to State. Fixed Charges =  Rs 60 3. F.A.C : It stands for Fuel Adjustment Charges,  Such charges varies according to demand and supply or availability of Fossil fuel. Availability of fossil fuel becomes not constant. This charges varies State to State. Here , F.A.C
